Bob Cohen's Tuesday Nature Field Trip to Barr Lake State Park from 9 am to 2:30 pm:
Bob's Tuesday trip will be for participants who enjoy nature but do not wish to do a strenuous hike. Bob's field trip will be leisurely strolls, will emphasize wildlife and plants of the park.
The plan is to car-pool with those who have cars. The drive from downtown Denver to Barr Lake takes 40 minutes. You should leave downtown Denver
by 8:15 am and be back at Comfort Inn by 3:15 pm.
Participants should have good walking or hiking shoes, a hat and a light jacket. Bring plenty of water, a strong sunscreen,
some insect repellent and a sack lunch. If nature calls ... there is nature all around you ...
Mosquitos in this area may cary the West Nile virus which may cause serous illnes and ticks may carry Lyme disease. Insect repallent should eliminate worries.
